Answer 1

The power of the Catholic church was directly influenced by the rise of the nation-state in Europe.

How was the rise of the nation-state in Europe?

It was directly influenced by the ideals of the French Revolution of 1789 and the Napoleonic Wars. The motivation for the revolution is due to the political and economic crises in Europe, causing support for the ideals of the bourgeoisie in reducing the control of the aristocracy and clergy.

The French Revolution instituted nationalism in Europe, causing the development of a new political regime with new laws, rules and greater institution of freedom for the common citizen.

Therefore, the rise of the nation-state in Europe weakened the power and dominance of the Catholic Church, with the institution of Renaissance ideas that impacted the entire world.

Why do you think the appeal of bringing the industrial revolution to the us was worth the risk for some?.

Answers

For some people, the possibility to make a lot of money in America made the danger of bringing the Industrial Revolution to the US worthwhile. Cases of spies stealing knowledge from British industry and other European sectors have been reported by historians.

What is the Industrial revolution?

The Industrial Revolution was the shift to new industrial techniques that took place in Great Britain, continental Europe, and the United States between roughly 1760 and 1820–1840. An agrarian economy gave way to an industrial economy during the Industrial Revolution, where things were no longer exclusively manufactured by hand but also by machines. This resulted in an uptick in output and efficiency, as well as decreased prices, a growth in goods and services, higher earnings, and a migration of people from rural to urban regions. The shift from manual to machine production was known as the Industrial Revolution. Scholars disagree much about when it began and ended, although the time frame mainly covered the years 1760 to 1840.

Compare and Contrast Land and Sea Based Empires

Answers

Types of Early Human Civilization

In the early days of human civilization, empires were primarily based on either land or sea. Land-based empires were those in which a central power controlled a large area of land and its people. Sea-based empires were those in which a central power controlled a large area of water and its resources. Both types of empires had their advantages and disadvantages.

Land-based empires were typically easier to defend than sea-based empires. This is because it was easier to build walls and fortifications on land than it was to build them on water. Land-based empires also had a more centralized power structure. This is because it was easier to communicate and transport goods over land than it was over water. However, land-based empires were often at a disadvantage when it came to trade. This is because they could only trade with other land-based empires.

Sea-based empires, on the other hand, were typically easier to expand than land-based empires. This is because it was easier to sail to new lands than it was to march to them. Sea-based empires also had a more decentralized power structure. This is because it was easier for different regions to remain autonomous when they were separated by water. However, sea-based empires were often at a disadvantage when it came to defense. This is because it was easier for enemies to attack them from the water than it was from the land.
